Appearance: At first glance, Chikage can be rather intimidating. He stands a wears a dark business suit and sunglasses all the time, and is above-average height. However, the sunglasses are worn only to protect his weak eyes. Though briefly intimidating and rather creepy to many people that meet him,
When he is not dressed in the business suit, he wears the standard Antique garçon uniform: a white dress shirt with a black vest and tie, apron, pants, and dress shoes.
Personality: Behind a briefly intimidating appearance lies a very shy man. Chikage is also not very intelligent or observant about things, but he is always well meaning and very loyal. Though he has difficulty with a lot of tasks at once, he has an almost childish sense of accomplishment when a difficult task (for him) is completed. Very slow on the uptake, he nonetheless has a good heart and if he is capable of doing something, he will do it if asked.
Chikage is unquestioningly loyal to his friends, and incredibly friendly and polite even to strangers. He has the utmost respect for Tachibana and will do almost anything for him even though he is rather useless at housework. He also has a crush on Ono, though he doesn't know if Ono feels the same way he does.
According to Tachibana, despite being a "housekeeper" Chikage is more of a slob. He seems to have a tendency to leave appliances running even when they aren't in use.
Abilities/Strengths: Despite his shortcomings and his obliviousness, Chikage is a hard worker. Anything he's asked to do, as long as it's not too difficult, he'll be more than willing to do it. This has lead Chikage into some rather interesting situations that most people would probably never find themselves in, such as fathering a child to a stranger.
Though he rarely shows the aggressive side of himself, he has been known to physically keep someone from harming a person he cares about to the point of hurting the other person, especially if Ono is involved in some way. As well, despite his usual display of incompetence, there are tasks that Chikage can accomplish. He'd managed to get a driver's license and is a semi-competent waiter, so it is possible for him to pull off certain tasks provided it's possible for him to do so.
Weaknesses: Chikage's height tends to get him into trouble, as he has a tendency to bump into doorframes because he doesn't pay attention to his surroundings as well as he should. Because he isn't very gifted or intelligent he can come across as dense, and perhaps rightly so. He is an extremely slow learner, if he's able to figure out something at all. If he doesn't catch on to what is going on in a situation, even one he is involved with, it's quite possible that he'll never catch on. It might be a little better if the situation is explained to him… if that doesn't confuse him more!
He easily panics if things are too difficult for him, and will often lose his head over the slightest issue. It can take a lot of reassuring to make sure that Chikage doesn't do something even more stupid, and has trouble with dealing with a lot of tasks at once.
Notable Possessions: He doesn't have anything of value, except for his sunglasses.
History: Chikage's mother was a live-in maid for the Tachibana household. He and Tachibana Kesiuke have known each other since Chikage was in junior high and Tachibana was in elementary school. He and Tachibana used to play "Ooka Echizen" as children, and developed the habit of calling him "young master" as a result. His mother passed away when he was in high school, and as he had no other relatives, Tachibana's parents paid for Chikage's college. To repay the kindness, Chikage worked for the family.
Chikage didn't make the secretary job, so he tried to work as a housekeeper for the Tachibana household. He wasn't good at that either; more often that not people were cleaning up after him, not the other way around.
During a New Year's party for the Tachibana household, Chikage met Sakaki Sakurako, an adult romance author, who asked him to father her child. Because Chikage is the type to more than willingly accept something he is capable of doing, he agreed. Kaedeko was born nine months later. Though he knew he would not be able to live with his child, Chikage still took care of Deko whenever Sakurako showed up with the baby. In reality Kesiuke was the one to take care of her.
After Tachibana left to pursue his career as a pastry chef owner with Ono Yusuke, Chikage was asked to go after him. Shortly after, Chikage met Ono, the "gay of demonic charm." After dancing in the rain with him Chikage fell head over heels for Ono. To give him something to do so he wouldn't be forced to live at home, Tachibana gave Chikage a job as a waiter at Antique, and he uses this to try to get closer to Ono.
Recently, a man named Jean Baptiste, a former boyfriend and teacher of Ono's, showed up at the shop. He offered Ono three times the pay if he returned with him to France, something that devastated Chikage. Fortunately for him and the others, Ono took down the offer, though Jean beat him for refusing. Before things got any worse, Chikage managed to pry Jean away from Ono, rather angrily. After things settled down, he had a discussion with his crush about the situation, and was saddened to hear that Ono blamed himself for a lot of things that had happened to him.
